Everyone has one of those lists. You know, a list of the three or four people you would most like to sit down and have a conversation with.
Today, I had the opportunity to talk to one of the people on my list.
It was none other than the Director of New York’s Hayden Planetarium, famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Dr. Tyson is was in Huntsville Friday to speak at the commencement at U.A. Huntsville, and was kind enough to sit down with me for over half an hour. The Carl Sagan of this generation, he is one of America’s best ambassadors of science.
Dan Satterfield has worked as an on air meteorologist for 32 years in Oklahoma, Florida and Alabama. Forecasting weather is Dan's job, but all of Earth Science is his passion. This journal is where Dan writes about things he has too little time for on air. Dan blogs about peer-reviewed Earth science for Junior High level audiences and up.
Listening to him speak is like listening to a Time Lord. And he complimented my TARDIS shirt! Yay!
