This is your future – Why the Moon?
Posted by Ryan Anderson
With all my moon-related posts, you’d think it was Monday!*
I just got this in my email, and thought I would share it with all of you space enthusiasts:
What would YOU like to ask of young people that work at NASA?
On July 20, 2008, members from the younger generation from four NASA
Centers will discuss the future of space exploration as part of the Lunar
Science Conference at NASA Ames Research Center. The panel is entitled “This is
your Future– Why the Moon?” and is open to a variety of space topics.
We invite you to participate by submitting questions to the panel online,
modeled after the CNN YouTube Debates. If your video is selected, it
will be aired at the event and discussed by the panel.Learn more at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlX5sbqEpqM

*If you got that pun, I’m sorry, but you’re a total space dork. 🙂
The current generation isn’t as passionate about space as the
so-called old ones because they have been saturated with the
“wrong” kind of space – namely bad SF started by Star Wars.
You should have grown up during the Apollo Era, when men
were doing real space exploration, not going in endless circles
around the planet and letting tin cans go to the planets instead
of men.
Hopefully when we finally get people back to the Moon and
onto Mars, we won’t see any more of this apathy towards
what really should be human destiny.
So dump your video games and iPods and wake up to the
real future!
Heh.. I got the pun once you mentioned it was a pun. ohh man.
Thanks !
