Update

It’s been very quiet around here, mainly because I’ve been working nonstop to finish writing my dissertation. (By ‘nonstop’ I mean I’m dreaming about figures and waking up a couple of times a night to write notes down on the pads I’ve started leaving around my apartment…)
At any rate, posting is going to be spotty for the next month or so, until I get the craziness back to manageable levels.
Best of luck– the end is tough, but you’ll make it! Just hang in there!
What an exciting and interesting field… Good for you, best of luck – I know you can do it!

The worst thing about my Thesis write-up is that I have no memory of anything else that happened in those final three months. For years people would come up to me and ask how I was doing, and I would have no idea who they were because we had met during write-up time. This was worst for ex-housemates, whom I had lived with without recollecting. Don’t worry, though. It will end, and you’ll end up with a thesis that then haunts you for decades.
