AGU Fall Meeting 2012: Social Media Roundup

Posted by Jessica Ball

It’s time for my annual addition of your guide to the social media events at AGU’s Fall Meeting in San Francisco! I’ll be attending this year’s meeting (you may see me wearing a press pass and some blogging buttons), and I’ll be attending at least a few of these events. In particular, I’ll be on the panel at the Tuesday Blogger’s Forum, an co-chairing the “Social Media 101” oral session on Tuesday afternoon and the accompanying poster session Wednesday morning. Feel free to say hi if you see me around!

This year’s going to be particularly busy for social media aficionados. I’ve tried to grab information for all the sessions and events that have presentations that deal with social media – blogging, Twitter, social networking platforms, online video, etc, and arrange them by day and time below. (If I’ve missed anything critical, please mention it in the comments or send me a tweet or email!)

If you can’t make it to the meeting, you can still participate online – the Virtual Meeting page has information about streaming and interactive sessions, and there are a ton of posters to look at on the e-Poster page. And there’s always the meeting page on Facebook,  the @theAGU tweets and the #AGU12 hashtag on Twitter!

Without further ado:
